It was a wonderful and unforgettable four-day experience in England I shared with Stefania.
Everything starts from the fact that the prestigious British Aston Martin, through its long history (since 1914) had never won 1000miglia. It happened with our team in 2011.
The AMOC (Aston Martin Owners Club) chose to celebrate this memorable victory by inviting us to attend the annual award ceremony near London, where we were awarded the special prize "Members Trophy", reserved only to drivers who have achieved a significant milestone for the Aston Martin brand. The victory of 1000miglia, known to all as "the most beautiful race in the world", is with no doubt worth it.
Extraordinary hospitality and a really big party for us, very exciting and very rewarding.
It was exciting to receive from the President's hands the prestigious "Members Trophy", so coveted in the world and won in the past by no less than Stirling Moss .... to name just one! All participants also attended the screening of large screen video of our arrival in Brescia, a big round of applause at the end and the beginning of the festivities ....it was a great thrill.
We could not miss the final salute, just as when disclosure is required even when I raise Stefania taking her in my arms, now has become our official greeting.
During the trip across the Channel, we couldn’t miss Ecurie Bertelli of our friend Andy Bell, a great person who is always very helpful and professional, his headquarter for us, and not only for us, is the sacred Temple of the Aston Martin classic car. We were actually stunned by the car that were inside and by what he showed us.
